Happy Hour

I suggest a Colleen Cocktail...at least that's what I've named it. My dear friend Colleen has introduced me to her drink that she has perfected. Trust..when I say it's delicious, low in calories and guaranteed a party!


Make to your taste..ingredients:


Don Julio Anejo (any Anejo Tequila will do)
Sprite Zero
A dash of OJ

Dinner Time

Lastnight I went to one of my favorite places, Royal Bangladesh. Its a yummy (very inexpensive) Indian restaurant on 1st ave between 5th and 6th. BEST part is it's B.Y.O.B!!!! Yippieee!!!

Rare Blank

I'm always drawn to the Rothschild's labels... they have a tradition of commissioning famous artists to design pictures for its labels since 1923. This one in particular is very interesting..

This sketch of a naked young girl by Balthus for the 1993 vintage raised a major storm of protests in the USA, and Rothschild withdrew all 30,000 bottles destined for the American market and replaced their labels with blanks where the controversial sketch had been.  Crazy, right?!

The label with the sketch has to be one of the rarest... if only I could get my hands on one, talk about the perfect Christmas gift!!

I have the most intelligent friends!

The Perfect Hot Toddy

When it's cold..I love to drink! Especially on the go..I stock up on "to go" coffee cups and fill them with hot toddies!

Hot Toddy Recipe:

-4 Lemon wedges

-3/4 oz honey syrup

-2 oz Brandy or more..

-5 oz Hot water

-3 dashes Angostura Bitters

-A mug, preferably glass

-A muddler or a spoon works

Then:

1. Put the lemon wedges in the mug first

3. Pour in the other ingredients

4. Muddle ingredients

5.Top with hot water (if taking to go..make water really hot)

6. Garnish with cinnamon

7. Drink up!
